First Renderings

Drawing inspiration from the daring adventures of 18th-century pirates, I designed the branding and packaging for "1716 Spiced Rum" to evoke the spirit of exploration and the thrill of the high seas.

Original Idea

The concept revolves around the year 1716, a time of mystery and peril on the ocean, and is aimed at bringing that same sense of adventure to the modern consumer. The central design feature is a bottle with a meticulously crafted ship inside, playing off the classic ship-in-a-bottle imagery while incorporating modern 3D rendering techniques to enhance realism and detail.

The packaging itself mirrors a treasure chest, filled with gold coins to further enrich the narrative of pirate plunder. I settled on a refined yet adventurous branding approach for "1716 Spiced Rum." The initial pirate-themed label evolved into a more sophisticated design featuring an ornamental style with intricate line work.

Type

I used an elegant yet bold font to complement the label's ornamental design, ensuring the packaging not only attracts attention but also feels premium, aligning with the product's positioning in the market. This design journey resulted in a final product that stands out on shelves, inviting rum enthusiasts and adventurers alike to experience the bold flavors and storied past of "1716 Spiced Rum.
